One part of my job involves attending trade shows and conferences. Most of which are pretty much 'blah, blah, blah'. I mean, really,  from the exhibitors perspective they're all basically the same. However, the Washington State Fire Mechanics Association Conference (Yakima, WA Sep 2007) offered an event that made the trip an experience: Creeper Drags.

Most of them are electric powered, either 12 or 24 volts, but one was air drive. Sounded totally wicked. Don't let the battery power fool you, some of these guys actually chirped the tires coming off the line.

Is the City of Anacortes missing some road signs?

After one run they had to recharge the tank on the air drive rig. Two SCBA tanks didn't quite do the job

Final run, he came off the line so hard it threw the chain trying to spin the tires.
